How to Reach Pahalgam?

Situated at about 90km from Srinagar, Pahalgam is accessible only by road. You can take a taxi from Srinagar, which would cost you around Rs. 2000 for the round trip. Other state cars are not allowed to visit Pahalgam and hence you must hire a cab from Srinagar.

There are 3 specific areas that you can visit – Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Lidder Valley (along with experiencing the Lidder River and Lidder Amusement Park). To do full justice to this beautiful paradise, you must be able to spare at least 2 full days for sightseeing. On day 1-you can cover Aur Valley and on day 2 you can cover Lidder and Betaab Valley.

From the Pahalgam city center, jeeps ply you to Betaab Valley, whereas you need to drive down to Aru Valley and here you need to hire horses to help you explore the area.

Amarnath Yatra and Pahagam
